The 2004 Brownlow Medal - Chris Judd

Brownlow Medal 2004 - Winner Chris Judd
In 2004 the Brownlow Medal was all about West Coast's Chris Judd, who was a standout winner. Oh yeah and his partner Rebecca Twigley and the red dress that stole the show...

Rebecca Twigley wore a stunning red dress by designer Ruth Tarvydas, it was backless and had a plunging neckline that captured the attention of the nation on Brownlow night.

BROWNLOW TELECAST
The 2004 Brownlow Medal was telecast live on Channel Ten from the Crown Paladium and was hosted by Steven Quartermain.

What is the Brownlow Medal?
The Brownlow Medal is awarded annually at the end of each AFL season to the best and fairest player in the league. The medal is named after Geelong football legend Chas Brownlow, and has been awarded since 1924.

How are votes awarded?
At the end of each round of the regular season, the field umpires for each match award votes to the players they judge as being the best and fairest for the match. Votes are awarded in the order of three, two, one, for the best three players. The votes are kept confidential until the end of the season. If a player is suspended during the season by the AFL tribunal, they are ruled ineligible to win the award.
