The AFL
Fixture online...why bother?
Why put up another website with the AFL fixture on it? Because we think
it can be done better, that's why.
Sure there are lots of footy websites around (hey we run plenty of them!) and
if you look hard enough you can find the ones that bring something
special to how Australian Rules football is represented on the net.

Back in 2007
In 2007 we changed the way people access the AFL fixture online.
We wanted to be able to jump online and get the AFL fixture quickly,
without fuss, and each week we wanted to find out which teams were
playing in the next round. And we wanted it to be available quickly!
So while the AFL were letting Telstra fill their website with flash
and fancy images so that you needed super fast broadband just to
find out when your footy team was playing next, we said "c'mon
AFL it shouldn't be that hard!", and
then we fixed it ourselves.
AFL Footy, it's a simple game
Well to some it's not that simple but if you're a footy fan
then you know footy's about keeping it simple, sticking to the basics,
manning up, backing your teammates, kicking it long up the guts, playing
on quickly, moving the ball fast, tackling hard, winning the ball out
of the bottom of the pack, and taking things one week at a time. So that's
what you'll get here, a simple game plan. Current AFL round in green,
last completed
round in red...all one week at a time. So
once
again we've kept AFL footy online how it should be. Simple.
Enough talk. Go to the 2008
AFL season fixture.
